Revolution, Breakthrough, Renewal are the starting point of the 3rd edition of the Madeira Literary Festival that runs between 1 and 7 April, in Funchal - Madeira (Portugal), with the confirmed participations of Naomi Wolf (opening conference), Zygmunt Bauman and Antonio Scurati.
In a particularly delicate socio-economic moment that many countries are facing, one must question the past to build a new future. Let us manifest, then, through Art. Using the words of Almada Negreiros (1893-1970), a great Portuguese artist that wrote himself a Manifesto in 1915: Enough Bang Enough!
On the way to the third edition of Madeira Literary Festival (MLF), Nova Delphi, the publishing house that promotes the Festival, assumes one major goal: to turn Madeira into a point of arrival/departure of thoughts and ideas, and to take the MLF increasingly further on the map of cultural events of greatest expression.
The programming of MLF starts with the launch of Child Literary Little Festival (CLLF) that aims to introduce the children to the MLF, providing greater contact with writers, illustrators and books. In the first two days, CLLF will be visiting the public and private primary schools, libraries, a centre of free time activities and an orphanage. On the 3rd of april, Naomi Wolf helms the opening conference of the MLF, followed by the first debate with two authors and a moderator. On the following days many other things are programmed, such as: authors at schools, a debate at the University of Madeira, Crossed Conversations (four authors and a moderator), visual arts exhibition and musical shows.
